The Love Of Money!

Today’s Devotion
Topic: The Love Of Money!
Text: 1 Timothy 6:10

10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. Amen

In today’s world, everything is defined and determined by economic factors; there are only few resources to satisfy our insatiable desires. That is, the beginning of our struggle and discontentment.

Everyone is rushing for the same goods and services which are limited. In effect, those with a strong purchasing power (money) are those who get more with surplus. They also secure themselves with connections and powerful networks to ensure they will always have enough to buy whatever, whenever they desire.

Money is very important yet scarce. Many will go every extent to have more than a few. Some people work overtime or two jobs, just to make extra for themselves. Others kill, steal, cheat, lie and even prostitute their bodies which is the temple of the Holy Ghost. Many more dupe the innocent and take advantage of the vulnerable to be ahead of the game.

But you see, “those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many grieves. (1 Timothy 6: 9- 10b).

Choose to be different. To love the Lord with all your heart and strength. Seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness. Do not join those who are cutting corners to make more money for Christmas. Your Lord possesses all the treasures of the world.

Begin to pray now. Open your heart to Him, let Him know He’s all you ever wanted (not money). He will fill your life with blessings that go beyond what money can buy. Let us pray. Click: https://youtu.be/b6TlHX205q4
