The Lord Thy God Is In The Midst Of Thee

Today’s Devotion
Topic: The Lord Thy God Is In The Midst Of Thee
Text: Zephaniah 3: 17

The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing. Amen!

Can you imagine the confidence a young boy will display on a campus where his dad teaches? He will exhibit even more audacity when he knows his dad is very influential on that campus. That’s how it is for us Believers.

The moment one accepts and confesses Christ as Lord and personal Saviour, he or she becomes the bona fide Son or Daughter of the Mighty Creator of the entire universe. Do you know what that means? It means the entire ‘being’ of the Creator accompanies that person wherever he or she goes, and in whatever they do.

In today’s Scripture, the prophet Zephaniah says that God is ‘in the midst’ of such people; He’s within and around them ALWAYS. He shows His awesome might amongst them, and even rejoices over them “with singing.” How awesome!

Picture this now; whatever God was to Abraham, Sarah, Isaac and Jacob, He is to you today. Whatever He was to Moses, Hannah, Esther, Abigail, Elijah and David, He is to you today. Whatever He was to John, Stephen, Dorcas and Paul, He is to you today. Indeed, He’s in the midst of thee; as the Most High God. Halleluyah!

May the eyes of your understanding be opened now to see Him as He is in your life. For greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. If He is for you, who can be against you?

Begin to pray now. Pray this loneliness, sorrow, hopelessness and self-pity away. Be encouraged to know that God is with you like a mighty warrior (Jeremiah 20: 11), never to leave nor forsake you, even to the end of time (Hebrews 13: 5).

And now, if it is true that God inhabits the praise of His people (Psalm 22: 3), then just as your Father in Heaven rejoices over you with singing, you too burst forth with His praise. Blessing His Holy name for all the great things He has done.

Your praise will not only invoke His mighty presence all around you, it will also break every yoke that keeps you bound. Setting you free to enjoy the fullness of blessing that in Christ is found. Your life will never be the same again.

Therefore, put your praise garment on, let’s meet at church. Encouraging one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. (Eph 5: 19). Singing the inspired song of David that says: “Not unto us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness” (Psalm 115: 1). Jehovah will inhabit our praise and never from our lives to depart! See you at church!

Let our heartfelt Praise burst forth like vapour from a hot spring, unto the Lord. Click and leave a comment: https://youtu.be/-AfHGqlDR5E
