Topic: Struck Down, But Not Destroyed!

Text: 2 Corinthians 4: 8- 9

”We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed”. Amen

Brethren, no matter how many times you have fallen or failed in your bid to succeed, be encouraged about this truth: with God on your side you shall bounce on your feet again.

All these adversities and painful experiences you are going through can become the springboard that catapults you on to higher altitude if you believe.

The Lord Jesus can make all these things work together for your good, till you can soar higher than the eagle, run and not get tired, walk miles and still not faint.

Brethren, don’t let the ‘knock-down’ in the marriage, at the office or with your exams results become a ‘knock-out’. Get up once more and continue to fight the good fight of faith. “For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.” (Proverbs 24:16)

In spite of the odds against you; you are actually more than a conqueror. Begin to pray therefore, ask God to strengthen your faith in His ability to deliver even if the situation looks ‘dead’ and beyond repair.

After the prayer, rise above all the challenges that suppress you. For although we have been hard-pressed on every side, we have not crushed. Why don’t you shake off all the dust accrued from being cast down and then wipe off your tears. Get back up to godliness and hard work so that you can do exploit to the glory of our God!
