Settle And Earn The Bread You Eat.

Topic: Settle And Earn The Bread You Eat.
Text: 2 Thessalonians 3: 11- 12

11 We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies. 12 Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the bread they eat. Amen

Many of us are very busy lately. There isn’t much time at all to spare in this economy. You hardly speak to a friend without him or her telling you how busy they’ve been lately. The question here is, are all these busy people busy at work or busybodies?

There’s a very thin line between the two, you know. Both groups exert a lot of energy and feel very tired at the end of the day. They both must stretch their tentacles by doing more to please others for reward.

Those who are busy at work gain rewards with dignity. It may not be enough, but at least it will put food on their table. But busybodies only pry into and meddle in the affairs of others.
They are interested only in the other person’s life and work than their own.

They can move from place to place, office to office, church to church, person to person updating themselves and their listeners about other people’s lives. They are never satisfied with what God has blessed them with, only the other person’s blessings. Often, their reward is ridicule, confusion, lack and hunger.

Don’t be like them at all child of God. “Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well” (Ecclesiastics 11: 6).

There’s more in life through Christ to achieve than meddle in other people’s affairs. Begin to pray. Ask for grace to work hard either at school or in your chosen career. Tell God to bless the works of your hands and make you content.

Never forget that we all have bread to find. For “the one who is unwilling to work shall not eat” (2 Thessalonians 3: 10b). Why must your occupation be to meddle into other people’s affair? Settle, work, earn the bread you eat and you will be happy all the way. Click and be blessed: https://youtu.be/7eI69zDFhJ8
