Oh Prayer! How We NEED IT?

Topic: Oh Prayer! How We NEED IT?
Text: Daniel 6: 13

13 Then they said to the king, “Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, Your Majesty, or to the decree you put in writing. He still prays three times a day”. Amen

Prayer, hmm! How can we ever substitute prayer for another activity and hope to get the same supernatural results we have always had? How could we make the mistake of believing we can go on the next level without prayer?

From the time of creation till now, prayer has remained the life line of those who desire to be found in God and known as His. It allows humanity to access divinity and receive grace for our purpose here on earth.

Daniel loved and served king Darius with all his heart and could do more for the king if he was asked to. Take Daniel away from the land of his birth to serve a foreign king- he wouldn’t resist; make an eunuch of out of him – he will still serve faithfully. But to disconnect him from his God with a 30 days “non-prayer” decree? He will pay you no attention.

Yes he can’t agree to that! He just can’t survive even ONE DAY without prayer. He would rather die in the tombs of hungry lions than to live without prayer.

You know, the very reason young Daniel could endure captivity in a land far from his family, was prayer. The reason why he can accept his new status as an Eunuch with dignity even if it was against his will was prayer.

As a matter of fact, the inspiration behind his excellent service to the king eventhough he was surrounded by evil men, was prayer. Daniel’s life and future depended on prayer. He was not going to trade it for anything. SO, DECREE OR NO DECREE, HE STILL PRAYED 3 TIMES A DAY.

Beloved in Christ, is your own story similar? Do you also make time for God in prayer regardless of the decrees to make that impossible?

Precious One, take a look around, what do you see? On the one side, we see how limited man is, needing God for survival in everything. On the other side, we see evil everywhere – trying to stop us, block us, steal from us, kill or destroy us. HOW CAN WE NOT PRAY?

JESUS CHRIST PRAYED EVERYDAY, EVERYWHERE AND EVERY TIME. His journey to and on the cross was full of prayer. You see, anyone who desires to live according to the purpose and plan of God must forever remain connected through PRAYER. That way the grace, strength and direction is received to do the “exploit” that sets you apart.

Meditate on this and begin to pray. Ask the Holy Ghost to strengthen your prayer life and make you the DANIEL of our generation. NEVER TO COMPROMISE ON PRAYER AND GODLINESS.

Remember Daniel had an excellent spirit because he refused to defile himself and also because he loved prayer. You too, in your life time pray! Always pray until Christ appears! See you at church. Kindly click, watch and be blessed: https://youtu.be/zAC9mrptnK0
