Topic: Magnify God To Win, Not The Challenge!
Text: 1 Samuel 17: 36- 37

36 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God.

37 The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” Saul said to David, “Go, and the LORD be with you.” Amen.

The journey of life comes with challenges and problems. These challenges sometimes appear so huge and frightening such that at the sight or sound of them, we immediately become both helpless and vulnerable.

Those “frightening” situations become the ‘Goliaths’ that torment us day and night; stealing our joy, and making us incapable of living to the fullest in Christ.

But the honest truth however is that, although a challenge may appear huge and tough in the natural, before God, it remains very insignificant. Especially, in comparison to His awesome great power. So the best strategy to overcome every challenge is to look up to God (not the problem), and trust that “faithful is He who has called you, and He will do it (1 Thessalonians 5: 24).

Remember this does not in any way suggest that we overlook the existence of the challenge, _but that we focus on our advantage of having the Almighty and Omnipotent God as our redeemer and defender. One, who is more than able to accomplish that which concerns us in every given day.

This was the attitude of the young and inexperienced David when he faced a rather gargantuan Goliath in battle. He saith to Goliath, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, BUT I COME AGAINST YOU IN THE NAME OF THE LORD ALMIGHTY, THE GOD OF THE ARMIES OF ISREAL, WHOM YOU HAVE DEFIED (1 Samuel 17: 45).

Therefore stand your grounds at the face of every challenge and proclaim “not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty. “Who are you, O mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground” (Zechariah 4: 6- 7a).

Begin to pray now, magnify God through your challenge and not your challenge, to God. Plead the blood against any evil that rises against you until total victory is yours. Remember, the same God who delivered you from the paw of the lion, will deliver you from the hands of every Goliath in your life. Click: https://youtu.be/rUIMkRDdNqk
