Topic: Let’s Choose Life
Text: 1 John 5:11-12
The testimony is this: God has given us eternal life, and this life has its source in his son. Whoever has the Son has this life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. Amen
When we come to God, we’re translated from the Kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light, thus, given a new kind of life.
In this kind of life, we die to sin, and live for righteousness. Ignorance of this fact will mean that, we’re “living dead”. Though we live physically, we’re actually dead to spiritual things. We become vulnerable to all kinds of sins till we become spiritual cut off from God (dead).
With this knowledge, I encourage you to choose life by choosing to live for Christ. He gives life and even gives in abundance. The life He gives is eternal, peaceful, victorious and blessed beyond every curse. Why then won’t you run to him?
Meditate on the fact that there is more to this life than what we see and experience. If we take this life for granted, how will we account for it on that day? Hell is real, choose to live for Jesus! pray for Mercy (Y-Outreach Network)
