Worship With Your Life

Today’s Devotion
Topic : Worship With Your Life!
Text : Exodus 23: 25- 27

25 Worship the LORD your God, and His blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, 26 and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span. 27 “I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run.” Amen

Worship is the feeling or expression of reverence and adoration for a deity. Christian worship therefore is a lifestlye of absolute reverence to God for who He is. This call to worship actually goes beyond simple adoration to having an entire lifestyle that glorifies God. It demands a little more than the 30 minutes we dedicate to singing and adoring God during services.

Those whose lives are totally devoted to God are blessed. These are those who out of reverence for God, forsake all other things that are contrary to His word and offer themselves as living sacrifices; holy and acceptable to God.

The food they eat is blessed. The water that quenches their thirst too. God promises to take sicknesses away from them and make them fertile. He gives them a full life span and sends terror ahead of them to throw into confusion every nation they encounter. He even makes their enemies turn their backs and run. What a wonderful place to be!

Make a decision therefore, that from today, you will make His worship your delight. Allow your whole being to honor God, not just your lips. Refuse to do this for public attention. It is an individual affair that should spring from deep within your spirit to the God who is worthy.

Wake up everyday to His worship; go through your day in worship; retire to bed in utmost worship and you would have soaked an entire day in His presence: a place flowing with uncommon blessings to last you a life time.

Begin to pray now. Ask for grace to “love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength (Deut 6: 5). So that you may with your lifestyle, show reverence to the One who is worthy of all adoration. His blessings will remain on all you do forever, even your food.
