Topic: World Praise Day?

Text: Psalm 63: 4- 9

4 I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. 5 My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. 6 On my bed I remember you, I think of you through the watches of the night. 7 Because you are my help. I Sing in the shadow of your wings. 8 My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me. 9 They who seek my life will be destroyed; they will go down to the depths of the earth. Amen

To the believer, everyday must be “WORLD PRAISE DAY” because we serve a mighty great God who is worthy to be praised – always.

King David says, “on my bed, I remember you; I think of you (GOD) through the watches of the night because you are my help”. What about you, beloved? What is it about God that lingers on in your mind throughtout the day, even in sleep? What do you remember about God in your daily reflections?

Is it His salvation that comes to you through faith? Or His grace and mercy? Is it His provision  and supply? Or His faithfulness, great power, goodness and healing? Honestly, at each second of the clock, we will always have a reason to praise God; if we are willing. Here are a few reasons:

i. We praise God because we are commanded to do so. Psalm 150: 6 says, “let EVERYTHING that has breath praise the Lord!”

ii. We praise God because our sincere praise proves that we know and have a relationship with Him. As a matter of fact, it is impossible to see His handiworks and know of His love, without praising His awesome majesty.

iii. Praising God also invokes His presence and power to fight our battles and disarm the enemy.

iv. Praise magnifies God in our every circumstance; making us stand strong and tall in all things to do exploits.

For these reasons, bless the Lord at all times, child of God, and let His praise continually be on your lips. “Praise the Lord all the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths. Lightining and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do His bidding. Kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth, young men and maidens, old men and children”. (Ps 148: 7-8, 11)

So beloved, cling to the Lord with praise. His right hand will uphold you. They who seek your life will be destroyed; they will go down to the depths of the earth.
