Who So Ever Will, May Come!

Topic: Who So Ever Will, May Come!
Text: Matthew 11: 28

28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Amen

Let us be sincere with ourselves, sometimes we all get very tired with a strong desire to either quit or pause and rejuvenate, so that we can continue to move forward.

Life’s pressures know no boundaries and its storms fear no one. Our choices through both the good and bad times determine to a large extent what we become and where we will be after the storm is over.

To the righteous, that is: those who are born of the Water, Spirit and the Blood; not by deeds but by faith in Christ Jesus, the christian walk may present some challenges that totally dehydrate. We are sometimes pressed so hard and persecuted so much, until we feel all used up and wish to turn our backs on God! We may often times have wondered whether our faith is not an illusion, because of all we have to go through as believers. “It’s too much”, we say.

It even gets all worse when we seem to have been doing our best in obeying all scripture, praying our loudest and fasting our longest, yet still wake up everyday to realise nothing has changed or is changing; as if God did not even hear us at all!

Please to all of such worn labourers of the Lord’s vineyard, wounded soldiers on the battlefield for our Lord, and ‘almost ready to give up faithfuls’, JESUS SAYS, “COME TO ME, I WILL GIVE YOU REST. TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU, LEARN OF ME, FOR I AM MEEK AND LOWLY IN HEART: AND YE SHALL FIND REST UNTO YOUR SOUL.” (Matthew 11: 28- 29).

What about the sinner? The one who has wandered away in darkness for years; those who are tired of living anyway/anyhow, living a life full of complications and hopelessness, chasing a world that is chasing the wind or being bound by satan since he gained a foothold in their lives.

Yea, still talking about those who feel caught up in one sin or another and know they’re far from the Lord. Those who know they need a Saviour today before tomorrow becomes too late. What about them? WELL JESUS SAYS TO YOU TOO, “COME TO ME ALL WHO ARE WEARY, I WILL GIVE YOU REST”, For the Son of Man came to seek and save the Lost!

Finally, to any one who needs salvation, the touch of a Savior, the joy of the Father and the comfort of the Holy Ghost! Those whose lives have been battered to the core and have tried everything but failed, betrayed so badly that their depression knows no bounds, Jesus says to even you, “COME TO ME ALL WHO ARE WEARY, I WILL GIVE YOU REST. I AM THE FRIEND WHO STICKS CLOSER THAN A BROTHER.”

WHY WILL YOU DELAY A SECOND BELOVED. PLEASE COME RUNNING TO THE MERCY SEAT! BRING YOUR LOAD AND BURDENS WITH YOU, LAY IT ALL DOWN AT THE FEET OF JESUS. CALL ON HIS NAME. HE IS MIGHTY TO SAVE.

HE IS GOING TO RECEIVE AND REJUVENATE YOU BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST. APOSTLE PETER PUTS IT BEST WHEN HE SAYS IN ACTS 3: 19- 20, “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord”. Your life is not going to be the same again.

In Psalm 65: 4, David says, “Blessed is the one you choose and bring near, to dwell in your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, the holiness of your temple.” Click and leave a comment: https://youtu.be/uP0V2VUddB0
