There’s No God?

Topic: There’s No God?

Text: Psalm 14: 1

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. Amen

Take a critical look at anyone who claims there’s no God- they do what they like. They are vile and corrupt. There’s no fear of God that restraints them.

It is even obvious from a distance that their contention with the notion of the existence of God is because they really want to “feel free” and enjoy life without considerations and limitations. That is why the psalmist classifies such dignified men and women as “fools”.

We can’t live anyhow we please. Life has a source and even science will not deny that. There is a “UNEXPLAINED FORCE” that ensures coherence and order in the universe. HE IS JEHOVAH GOD!

He is the self-existing, self-sustaining God whom heaven and earth adore. Every religion acknowledges Him. People from all nations, tongue and tribe owe their existence to Him; and are grateful. How can anyone say in their heart “there’s no God”?

You see one fine day, the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. A profound statement that should be asked every atheist. He said “Brace yourself like a man; I will question you and you shall answer me.

“Where were you when i laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you should know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? On what were its footings set, or who laid its conerstones ” (Job 38: 3- 6)

He continues in Job 40: 8- 14 by asking “would you discredit my justice? Would you condemn me to justify yourself? Do you have an arm like God’s, and can your voice thunder like His?

Then adorn yourself with glory and splendor, and clothe yourself in honor and majesty. Unleash the fury of your wrath, look at all who are proud and bring them low. Then I myself will admit to you that your own right hand can save you.”

Tell all who doubt our God to listen to their own souls. The very life in them cries out ” LORD YOU ARE GOD! Pray for them. Ask that the saving grace of Christ reach them where ever they are. See you at church!
