The Language Of The Devil – Beware!

Today’s Devotion
Topic: The Language Of The Devil – Beware!
Text: Genesis 3: 1

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “HAS GOD INDEED SAID, you shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” Amen

We may be very familiar with the fall of man in the garden of Eden. What many people have not considered carefully is how this happened. God had given an instruction to Adam on what could be eaten in the garden of Eden or not. The devil, however, played on the intelligence of the woman to deceive her into eating the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It all began with the question or phrase, “has God indeed said?”

Has God indeed defined for us what is acceptable or not? In the world today, many people in trying to satisfy their selfish and inordinate affections ask doubtful questions about the authenticity of the bible almost everyday.

There are still debates over even clearly defined institutions in the Bible such as marriage. Many churches have even erred from what the word of God clearly cautions against in Romans chapter 1: 18- 32 and have started allowing same sex marriages. “Pastors”, are also caught on tape blatantly preaching doctrines that are consistent with “voodooism” and witchcraft; yet are hailed as “anointed” because their claims to “powers” promises to grant their followers everything they desire for a token.

Many a time, the deception of the devil begins with the question, “HAS GOD INDEED SAID?” As Christians, we need to know the word of God for ourselves to avoid deception. Everything we need to know about our walk with God is in the word of God. And we can know this by reading, meditating and practicing what we read.

The language of the devil always begins with a question or phrase to put doubts in our minds in order to deceive us.

1 Timothy 4: 1 – Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. Apostle Paul warned Timothy of the deception that will take place in the last days.

There is no doubt the times we live in now clearly is an expression of the last days. It has become extremely necessary for us to know the word of God for ourselves to stay on track.

Begin to pray that the eyes of your understanding be fully opened so that you are not carried away by any wind of some strange doctrine in town. Pray with the hymn “Ancient words, ever true- changing me and changing you”.

Actually, the Word of God is not going to ever change just to suit any individual’s sinful desires. Forever, it is settled in heaven (Ps 119: 89); never to return back to God void until it has accomplished the purpose for which it was sent (Is 55: 11).

Do not be deceived by the devil into believing things that are contrary to what God says in His word. Satan has always been a deceiver; a terrible liar right from the very beginning. Fall for his tricks and you will be lost in sin, misery and death.

Choose THE ETERNAL WORD OF CHRIST therefore. Choose Righteousness. Choose eternity in heaven with Christ. Choose life and live it to the glory of God because the whole duty of man is to FEAR GOD AND OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS. Nothing more or less is ever going to change about this for your sake.
