The Holy Spirit Will Convict

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. Amen

There is certainly a correlation between evangelism and soul winning. It is important to give people every reason to come to Christ. Today’s devotion seeks to go a step further and explains what happens after we (Christians sharing the Word) have done all we can.

Truth is, some believers all over the years, have done so much just to get the world to know Jesus. Individuals do dawn broadcasting in their vicinity, others speak to strangers one-on-one. Churches organize evangelistic crusades, hospital visitations, musical concerts, TV and radio shows etc., just to win souls for the Lord. However, few of us follow these things up with prayer.

We almost fail to acknowledge that it is God that draws a sinner back to Himself, not the other way around.
Sometimes we get so frustrated with unbelievers who prove “difficult” as we evangelize to them. It shouldn’t be so. Ours is to share Christ and give them every reason to choose the Lord. The rest is for the Holy Spirit – He is our Dependable Partner in ministry.

He will convict the world of sin and reveal God’s love to them much better than you did. He then gives them the heart ready to receive and walk with the Lord. And when they have accepted Jesus, it is He that will live in them – to guide and teach them so that they will become like Christ.

So begin to pray now. Pray more for the people you desire to win for Christ rather than get frustrated with them for remaining in sin. The Father will, by your prayer, draw them closer to Himself and give them the wonderful companion of the Holy Ghost. He will always be there to speak to them after you have left.
