The GOD Factor

Today’s Devotion
Topic: The GOD Factor
Text: Ecclesiastics 3: 14

I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere Him. Amen

Each of us has at least a goal or aspiration of a sort for this new year. Some of us may have drawn up detailed plans with which we hope to realize those goals. Many are putting in so much effort to see their plans succeed.

The success of every plan, however, depends on two factors; the GOD factor and the human factor. Unfortunately, some of us ignore the GOD factor in many ways. Others misplace the factors in terms of priority.

When the High Priest and Sadducees decided to abort the mission of the Apostles after Jesus’ ascension, a Pharisee named Gamaliel spoke the following words; “…keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or undertaking is of man, it will fail; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!” (Acts 5: 38- 39)

Beloved, it is an undeniable fact that all things bearing the approval of God endure the test of time. Why then do you trust the “arm of flesh” rather than the arm of God? Why do you rely on the “human factor” with all its limitations, when it is actually the “God factor” that makes all things possible?

You see, every believer is expected to demonstrate consciousness of the GOD factor by seeking His face concerning the goals we set and the plans we draw up. Spending quality time with Him each morning in prayer and meditation draws us into His presence. There, His will is revealed, His word is activated and His strength, made perfect in our weakness (so that when we are weak, then we are strong).

So the next time you draw a plan for your life, be careful to spread it out before the Lord in prayer until He instructs you. Always remember that HE IS THE LORD, whatever He does endures forever!

Meditate on this word and begin to pray now. Ask the Lord to help you abide in Him, as His word abides also in you. With time, you will be like a tree planted by the river side. Your leaves will not wither but yield it fruit in season. WHATEVER YOU DO SHALL PROSPER!

So go ahead, make our Jesus the center of your life. And He will make as Mount Zion; so firm and secured, abiding forever. Click: https://youtu.be/85tvVybU0cY
