The Devil’s Endtime Strategy

Today’s Devotion
Topic: The Devil’s Endtime Strategy
Text: Luke 21: 34, 36

“34 But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. 36 But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” Amen

Have you ever wondered why you easily choose certain things over the will of God in your life? Why you keep postponing your prayer and quiet times? Why it seems impossible to let go of that one thing that draws you constantly away from God?

It’s because the devil’s end time plan is to enslave people with pleasures and the cares of this life. He intends to keep us preoccupied with our relationships, studies, jobs, families, and even fun, until the day of the Lord comes suddenly upon us like a trap.

In the passage above, Christ directs us to pray primarily for two things:

1) Strength to be able to stand all trials and temptations, and
2) Grace to be able to run the race until we stand before the Son of Man on the final day.

Beloved, please keep your mind on the principal goal of pleasing God always, and making it to Heaven.
