Soul Ties (Part 4) Text: Galatians 5:1

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Amen

We thank God for His commitment to deliver us from ungodly soul ties whenever we call on Him. Now it is up to us to live as sons & daughters of the light.

We must stand firm and not let ourselves be burdened again by the yoke of slavery through sexual immorality.
We must protect our freedom in Christ with obedience, determination and purity.

No boyfriend or girlfriend ever pays for the consequences of our disobedience to God’s Word. We pay for the consequences of our actions alone.

6 simple steps we should never forget:

i: Since it may be impossible to know the truest motives and spiritual orientation of those we engage sexually, it is always best to abstain till marriage or remain faithful to one’s spouse if already married. The price we pay for acting carelessly is often higher than the satisfaction we get.

ii: The fact that one is still in a relationship with his or her “sexual” partner, and have plans to settle down with him or her some time in the future does not in any way make trivial the consequences of the ungodly soul tie they share. The basic reason being that he or she remains a victim of the ungodly soul ties and needs deliverance just as you do. Otherwise both parties will suffer the consequences of the soul tie, which may even persist after marriage.

iii: To the virgins, bachelors & Spinsters: Wait for the promise. For “the Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness (2 Pet 3: 9a). Eventhough it tarries wait for it… It shall surely come to pass.

iv: Jesus died to set us free from the schemes of the wicked one. Do not consciously lead yourself into satan’s parlour, he will steal, kill and destroy you.

v: Always remember your body is not for you to use, misuse and abuse anyhow. Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost! Endeavour to keep and respect it as such.

vi: “Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives.” (2Pet 3:11). Choose today to live a life worthy of your christian calling and Christ shall direct your paths.

Begin to pray now.
