Topic: PRESS HARDER!
Text: Philipians 3:13-14
Brothers, i do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing i do: forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, i press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenwards in Christ Jesus. Amen
The Apostle Paul persecuted the church in the past. Periods after he got saved he still admited his imperfection by explaining that the good he wants to do comes with a struggle.
Notwithstanding all that, he pressed on and fought hard each and everyday, forgetting the past and his weaknesses. Motivated by the fact that there is a divine reason for His calling and a prize (eternal life and a crown of glory) at the end of the journey.
How about you dear one? Are you broken because of your past weaknesses, failures and pain? Are you discouraged by distractors who tell you to your face you won’t make it? Or you actually battling low self esteem?
Whatever it is, know that there is a reason why God still gives us life every morning after all our mess. You have to rise up, open your eyes to see what he has prepared for you and reach out for it. Press on and dont give up now.
He has promised us that He will not leave us not forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), and He is with us until the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). It is He who provides the strength we need to carry on everyday. Begin to pray now. As surely as the Lord lives, He will grant grace to run the race.
