Praise While You Wait!

Topic: Praise While You Wait!
Text: Luke 24: 49, 53

49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”53 And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God. Amen

For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us” (2 Cor. 1: 20). One way to ensure the fulfillment of the promises of God was what the Disciples of Christ did – praising God.

Even as we wait for the promises of God to be fulfilled in our lives, especially His ultimate promise of the Holy Spirit and His second coming to take the righteous to a place long prepared- HEAVEN; let us learn to put on the garment of praise always and make our lives His sanctuary.

God inhabits the praise of His people. Miriam, sister of Moses, sang to God and said “Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” (Ex. 15:11).

In fervent praise, our Lord does WONDERS. HE WILL AMBUSH YOUR ENEMIES AND SET CONFUSION IN THEIR MIDST (2 Chronicles 20: 22). HE WILL BRING EVERY WALL OF JERICHO IN YOUR LIFE TUMBLING DOWN (Joshua 6: 20). HE WILL SHAKE YOUR PRISON GATES AND BREAK THE SHACKLES OFF YOUR FEET (Acts 16: 25- 26).

Having a heart of praise, even through bad times, invokes the presence of God in power, and every promise in His word is fulfilled.

Therefore you who have lost all confidence in life and feel your WAIT-IN-THE-LORD has yielded no results. Put on the garment of praise and rejoice in the Lord. For God does not slack on His promises as some considers slackness, though the promise MAY tarry, wait for it in praise, it will surely come to pass.
