Partnership In The Gospel

Today’s Devotion
Topic: Partnership In The Gospel
Text: Hebrews 6:10

God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them. Amen

Some of us are partners in the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Not only have we accepted Him as Lord and Saviour, we have also yielded to His Word and allowed the Holy Spirit into our hearts so that the Lord can use us in EVERY WAY possible to draw others to Himself and strengthen His church.

By that single decision, we have had to offer first, our lives to God as a living sacrifice. Then from that place of absolute humility, He takes over and reaches out to others through our conduct, thoughts, action and words.

Also, by that same decision to be partners of the gospel, we have had to offer our time and other resources (including money) in circumstances that we would rather not because of the high cost of that sacrifice on our lives and aspirations.

In several ways, we have had to encourage others while we were down, and pray with them while we needed to be prayed for. We have had to give our all even in our scarcity and learn to endure the hardships, persecutions and sorrows; all for the sake of Christ.

NOW TO ALL SUCH PARTNERS, APOSTLE PAUL WROTE IN PHILIPPIANS 1: 3-6, SAYING: “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that HE WHO BEGAN A GOOD WORK IN YOU WILL CARRY IT ON TO COMPLETION UNTIL THE DAY OF CHRIST JESUS!”

Therefore, be of good cheer and be encouraged. For “God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.” You see, when Peter asked in Matthew 19:27 that, “We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?” Jesus replied him saying:

“Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.” (Matthew 19: 28-29)

Begin to pray now asking the Lord for the strength to continue to demonstrate His love to all nations — a decision to be spent for our Lord so that others may also know of His everlasting love. Tell the Lord you do not want your partnership to this gospel to be one of struggle and indecision anymore. He should impute in your heart a “YES LORD” even when you want to say no to His voice.

Remember that, the life that reflects the heart of Christ also carries His glory. Implying that your life will continue to shine with each act of obedience and demonstration of love. You are going to be so blessed for becoming His blessing to others. It won’t be long and your very life will attest to the faithfulness of our God. He has began a GOOD WORK in you, and so will definitely carry it on to completion. You would see! Get ready and let’s meet at church. Kindly click, watch and be blessed: https://youtu.be/ZwoyRtFO-EQ
