Topic: No Other Name
Text: Acts 4: 12
12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Amen
There’s no other savior; no other deliverer but Jesus Christ! You don’t need to try the rest before you agree with this truth. THEY NEVER SAID THEY COULD SAVE ANYWAY, NOR DID THEY CLAIM TO HAVE COME FROM THE FATHER! They died still searching for the Truth while Jesus is the Truth!
They were not with the Father from the very beginning but Jesus was! “He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made (John 1:2-3). “He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was His own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in his name, He gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.(John 1: 10-13)
This “Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known” (John 1: 14,18)
His DIVINE NAME and Divine Mission on earth preceded His birth. The Massenger of God told Joseph that Mary will ” bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1: 21)
None of us can save ourselves. Salvation is not purchased with money or by our good deeds- it is only through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ! He is the Way, Truth and Life; no one goes to the Father except through Him. He is God’s ultimate propitiation for our sins; the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the earth (John 1:29)
Behold He stands at the door and knocks. “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved”. (Romans 10: 9). Begin to pray now, ask Jesus into your life if you never did or re-dedicate your life if you feel you are distant from God. Your Jesus is mighty to SAVE!
