Memorial Offering Before The Lord! Text: Isaiah: 38: 3a (NIV)

3 “Remember, Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” AMEN

The word of the Lord came to King Hezekiah to put his house in order because he was going to die from the sickness that was plaguing his body. Hezekiah pray and said “Remember, Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully …” Guess what, the Lord remembered him and added 15 more years to his life span.

Samson, after his unfortunate life choices got him captured by the Philistines, also prayed to the Lord and said Sovereign Lord, remember me, strengthen me just once more. (Judges 16: 28). God answered him too.

Honestly, both men although far from perfect, were able to beseech the mercies of God in their time of need by simply crying out: Remember me Lord!

How is that possible you may ask? Well simple, we can all agree that before anyone can ask God to remember them, he /she must have had a relationship with HIM.

Secondly, it would be expected that the intimacy they shared with the Lord caused them to avail themselves in a unique way for His use. You remember the angel of the Lord told Cornelius “Your prayers and alms giving has come up as a memorial offering before God. (Acts 10: 4)

So, child of God:

i. what is your personal memorial offering before the Lord?

ii. As God could testify about Abraham (friend of God), Moses (meek), David (Man after God’s heart) what can He say about you today?

iii. Each time you say Lord remember me, is it because you know you have a personal relationship with him and are willing to avail yourself to His will and for his use?

CAREFULLY MEDITATE ON THIS WORD AND ASK FOR GRACE TO GET MORE INTIMATE WITH THE LORD!
