Topic: Made For Signs & Wonders!
Text: Isaiah 8: 18 (KJV)

Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. Amen

A great working week is with us again. It started yesterday actually, in case you didn’t notice and thought it was just an ordinary week as usual. The manifestation of God’s power is upon you this week than never before. We have settled for defeat for far too long. The hour has come for the children of Zion to arise and do exploits for God and Country.

Our Father in heaven is king over everything, yet our compromising attitude towards life and work has made us gain just a little above a “few”. We have almost succeeded in making our faith synonymous to mediocrity. Society has high moral expectations of us, but not as much when it comes to achievements. Oh! “how the precious children of Zion, once worth their weight in gold, are now considered as pots of clay!” (Lamentations 4: 2a).

But can we blame society? No, we can’t! It is ourselves to blame Believers. We do not always strive to be excellent wherever we find ourselves. Christian employees work the little they can and hope God will handle the rest. Students study at their convenience and don’t care if their academic results do not glorify God. Anytime our mediocre attitude towards life is questioned, we reply “God will do”, yet God has endowed us with so much grace for exploits.

One day, Prophet Isaiah was so optimistic about life that he proclaimed to all Israel “Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.” Halleluyah.

Never look down on your abilities child of God, you are made for signs and wonders. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! Jesus says “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” (John 14: 12). With this assurance from the Master, arise and go back to your vision even if you failed the first and second times you tried.

Be determined from today to honour God with our hardwork. To handle every duty as unto God, and to know Him as your eternal great reward, not your employers. That way, your devotion towards service is excellent and so will be the results you churn out.

And see, our collective statement to those who militate against our efforts day and night is simpleā€¦ “Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us” (Isaiah 8: 10). We are made for signs and wonders. Begin to pray for grace in all you do. YOU WILL NOT FAIL.

Life can be rough and tough. Rise above it. Christ is thy rock and strength. You will overcome. Click and comment: https://youtu.be/q7jV1d2O40M
