Let Us Labour Harder Now Than Before!

Topic: Let Us Labour Harder Now Than Before!
Text: Matthew 10: 7

And as you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Amen

Thanks to mass and social media, the gospel is reaching lives in places that were hitherto difficult to access. God has raised for Himself some genuine and faithful believers who are compelled by His love to spread the good news.

Apart from being the loving Father who graciously gifts us all, saved or unsaved, with all the necessities of life; such as rain, air, water, food, clothing, shelter, talents, opportunities, insight, protection etc, He also backs the preaching of His word by several signs and wonders to confirm the wonderful life in Christ that awaits all who surrender to Him as Lord.

But according to Prophet Isaiah, “when grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness; even in a land of uprightness, they go on doing evil and do not regard the majesty of the Lord (Isaiah 26: 10). This is because, “the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Cor 4: 4).

The Holy Spirit is on a rescue mission therefore and He is recruiting willing vessels to equip for the spread of the gospel. Are you in Precious One? DOES IT IMPRESS ON YOUR HEART THAT THE CHURCH MUST LABOUR EVEN HARDER NOW THAN WE USED TO?

Sin has stolen the hearts of many. Music videos and movies by the popular celebrities they look up to suggest that “gangstarism”, sex outside marriage, crime and revenge are the coolest things now. The internet which could be useful for the spread of the gospel is fast initiating misguided youths into pornography, masturbation, fraud and perversion.

Some people are unfortunately killing themselves and several other nationals who are innocent in the name of religion; while the affected are retaliating in higher magnitudes also in the name of God and country.

Economic challenges have set the hearts of many searching for temporal solutions from all sorts of weird sources and “pastors”, even if the intervention offered gurantees permanent destruction in the long term. PEOPLE NEED THE LORD… IN THEIR HEARTS OF HEARTS THEY KNOW THEY DO.

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” (Rom 10: 14). As it was in the days of Isaiah, the voice of the Lord is still crying out, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” (Is 6:8). Will you be bold to respond “Here am I. Send me”?

God is counting on your availability to convict your unsaved family members and friends of sin and offer without cost, the salvation of their souls. Pray for yourself and all unbelievers. ASK GOD TO EQUIP YOU WHILE HE CONVICTS THEM SO THAT THEIR HARDENED HEARTS CAN RECEIVE HIS WORD. And now begin to share the word; at home, church, friends, among friends and colleagues, on your facebook wall, whatsapp status, etc..

Collectively, let us tell the world that Jesus is the only way. And that those who believe in Him, will not perish but have everlasting life. Before you go to bed each night, ask yourself if you made heaven rejoice by winning a soul for Christ. The clock is ticking; the times are urgent. Let’s work harder now for the Lord than we’ve ever done, for “the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who is wise wins souls” (Prov 11: 30). Heaven is counting on us.
