It Is Possible

Text: John 1:45-46

45 Philip find Nathanael, and said unto him, We have found Him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. 46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can anything good come out of Nazareth? Philip said unto him, Come and see, Amen.

Brethren, it may be true that people have different perceptions about your life and you’re probably already buying into unhealthy thoughts that others have concerning your life.

Have you ever asked yourself whether anything good can come out of your life? If you have, chances are that you have great doubts about yourself and possibly about God.

To have a low esteem of yourself and capabilities we can understand, though, is still not the best. But on what grounds will you doubt God or scripture? What will be the justification of using anyone’s background to measure their worth or who they should become in life?

When Nathanael heard about Jesus as the Messiah, He already condemned His worth just because of Jesus’ background. To him, all Nazarenes may probably amount to nothing good. This is sad!

Although the general perception people had about Nazarenes may have been true, what Nathanael missed is that God can use the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. Yes! He uses the weak things of the world to shame the things which are mighty (1 Corinthians 1: 27).

The GOD we serve is not particular about background, status and achievement. It is what He says about you that always prevails anyway. His purpose and will for your life can lift a “Gideon” to royalty. Even if he (Gideon) thought his clan was the weakest in Israel and he is the least in his father’s house. (Judges 6: 15).

Family, that same mighty God who specialises in raising kings and queens from “Nazareth” is at your door right now. He has come to lift you up from the miry clay and set your feet upon solid rock.

Begin to pray now. Commit your inadequacies and low self esteem to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine. He is not a man that he will lie or the son of man that he should repent from what he has said concerning your life. The thought He has for you are not of evil but of good, to bring you to an expected end.

When people ask what good can ever come from you, keep your faith in God and say to yourself, “in due time, when God is through with me, all eyes see, and give glory to God.” HE IS WONDERFUL!
