He’s Alive!

Today’s Devotion
Topic: He’s Alive!
Text: Matthew 28: 5- 10

5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell His disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him.’ Now I have told you.”

8 So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell His disciples. 9 Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” He said. They CAME TO HIM, CLASPED HIS FEET AND WORSHIPPED HIM. 10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.” Amen

*HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH HALLELUJAH! * “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15: 55). Jesus Christ the crucified, is risen indeed. He is alive- hallelujah! Come and see the place where He laid – it’s empty.

Remember how He said “… I lay down My life–only to take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from My Father.” (John 10: 17- 18). Well, HE JUST DID! There is no use searching for the living among the dead. He’s alive!

He lives to give life eternal to all who will confess Him as Lord, even those who will believe in His name. Therefore tell the wanderer and sinner to come home- the great Saviour knocks on the door of their hearts. Tell the sick that the greatest Physician is here. Tell the poor, wretched and destitute that the King of Glory calls them in. Our lives will never be the same again.

Jesus lives that we might live. It is in Him we live, move and have our being. Apostle Paul puts it better when he says; “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2: 22).

So come, let us clasp at His feet and worship Him. Let us rejoice in the Lord of our salvation. For the such as us who used to walk in darkness have now seen a great Light (Isaiah 9:2). The tomb is open and the shroud is folded but “the Jesus” we placed in the tomb IS RISEN! Death could not hold Him captive. Now because He lives, we can face tomorrow.

Come and join the adoration of our risen King; why should you be left out when He did all these with you in mind. Rise, let’s go to church. His praise must never cease. Click: https://youtu.be/rUIMkRDdNqk
