Topic: God’s Special Gift To You!

Text: Psalm 127: 3

3 Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from Him. Amen

When God decided on His own accord to bless you with the best gift, He gave you your child(ren). Not because you ought to have them by natural order, but because He desired the best gifts for you.

Do you remember the story of Moses? His birth was not announced by an angel like it was with Samson and John. However, his parents knew he was a special child and refused to let Pharaoh take his life.

Stephen explains it well in Acts 7: 20- 22. According to him, at that time when Pharoah was dealing treacherously with the Hebrew slaves, “Moses was born and he was no ordinary child. For three months he was cared for by his family. When he was placed outside, Pharaoh’s daughter took him and brought him up as her own son. Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in speech and action”.

Do you see that when Moses’ own parents wouldn’t give up on him, God preserved the boy for them? He even got the very person who sort to destroy him (Pharaoh) to cater for all his needs and sponsor his education to the highest degree (remember he was educated in ALL the wisdom of Egypt). With time, the discerning hearts of Moses parents (that their son was no ordinary child) was confirmed. Moses grew to be POWERFUL IN SPEECH AND ACTION.

Beloved, accept that your children are God’s special gift to you and begin to pray for them right now. Join in the prayer even if you are young or without children yet. This prayer can be your prophetic declaration over the unborn children God is about to gift you with. Ask that the fear of the Lord takes dominion of their hearts so that they don’t stray from the Lord their God.

Go ahead now and bless the tomorrow of your wards today. Open doors for them before they even know what a door is. Teach them well in Christ for a brighter tomorrow and watch their tomorrow become a blessing to your own tomorrow, when you have “grayed”.
