God Is Preparing Your Heart for the Promise

Topic: God Is Preparing Your Heart for the Promise
Text: Psalm 10: 17

“LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear.” Amen

From exodus through to the book of Joshua, we see that God didn’t lead the Israelites by the shortest route to the Promised Land; He took them the long way on purpose because they were not prepared for war.

God knew that if He would have taken them into the promised land too quickly, they would have been easily defeated by the nations that surround. Their enemies were much bigger and much more experienced.

Not being aware of God’s plan for them; and His reasons for making them go a longer route, they complained a lot. “God, we’re uncomfortable out here in the desert. We’re hot. We’re tired, we should have remained in Egypt, we want to go back to Egypt, where’s our Promised Land, etc etc?”

God didn’t answer those prayers, not because He was trying to make their lives miserable, but because He knew what was up in front of them. He had to prepare them to step into the fullness of their destiny.

In the same way, God has already laid out the plan for your life. He knows exactly what you need and when you need it. If you are in a difficult situation that’s taking longer than you had hoped, know that God is preparing you for the promise.

He never forgets His promises to you. He also knows the desires of the humble. All you are going through right now is to prepare your heart to sustain the blessing that is to come.

Stay in faith therefore and keep praising Him as you move forward into the Promised Land. Do not let this unusual long route to the promise land scare you. Neither the challenges you will encounter along the way. God is strengthening you and preparing you for that great blessing.

Rise up and get ready to pray now. According to our text for the day, the Lord has committed His ears to hear us each time we call. Begin to pray therefore. Ask the Holy Spirit for more grace to trust Him no matter what! Also, that you yield to His leadings even if they seem contrary to your thoughts or popular opinion.

For in spite it all, we now know that God is just preparing our hearts for something greater; and preserving us against the schemes of the foe. The promise will not fail in Jesus name. We will not fail. Click: https://youtu.be/_LFq-ZepNbwema
