Topic: Don’t Expose Your Weakness To The Devil!
Text: Genesis 3:1-3 (NIV)

1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'” Amen

The Bible describes the devil as crafty but not wise. He only proves to be smart but with wisdom, one can easily overcome his temptations.

The devil always seeks the loopholes in our lives to strike an attack. Being ignorant of our stronghold, he throws questions or challenges to us to keep us talking. We eventually end up revealing our weakness to him.

The devil visits Eve in the garden not knowing the actual act which God prohibits them from committing. He, being crafty, asked her a general question “did God really say you must not eat from any tree in the garden”. Obviously that was not the instruction God had given them. God was specific about the particular tree they were neither to eat from nor touch. The devil got to know that from the answer Eve gave him, which exposed their weakness for the devil to tempt them into disobeying God.

Those of us in this new testament era, are not to be ignorant of the devil’s devices. Jesus Christ has made a public spectacle of his lies. Our Lord has made us aware that the devil is a liar and the father of all lies. He comes not except to steal, kill and destroy. He is roaring “like” a lion looking for whom he may devour. He is not a lion, only he acts “like” one.

Beloved, satan is mostly invited to trick us when we display ignorance, fear, foolishness, faithlessness and disobedience to God’s word. He preys on such human weakness as lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life to cause many to fall.

Pray that the wisdom of God abounds in you, lest you expose yourself to his tricks like Samson did to Delilah. Begin to pray for the WISDOM to answer satan at all times and the GRACE to stand for Christ forever. Kindly click, watch and be blessed: https://youtu.be/08skn37uqU0
