Continue Your Love With Us Lord!

Today’s Devotion
Topic: Continue Your Love With Us Lord!
Text: Psalm 36: 9- 10

9 For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. 10 Continue Your love to those who know You, Your righteousness to the upright in heart. Amen

To come this far in a year is by grace, for that, we are mostly grateful. But to cross over to begin another, brings thoughts and anxieties that work our emotions.

Even the fact that we desire things to be better than this passing year puts us in an unsettled state. Planning, restrategizing and working out what we will do differently and how.

All these uncertainties go to confirm how unstable and unsure man is to guarantee for himself a great place in the coming year. He doesn’t even know how anything will unfold. That is why our focus in this discussion, as far as next year is concerned, is not on Man, but God.

It is He (God) who knows all about the coming year. He sees farther than the most powerful telescope man ever invented. It is He who sustains all the elements to keep them in perfect harmony with one another.

His love reaches to the heavens, His faithfulness to the skies. His righteousness is like the highest mountains, His justice like the great deep. He preserves both people and animals.

It is under the shadow of His wings that man seeks refuge. They feast from the abundance of His household, He gives them drink from His river of delights (Psalm 36: 5- 8).

He becomes all the above to man so that we are kept, protected, fed, loved and blessed every new year through to another. Therefore when you think of this coming year, think about the Lord; His commitment to see you through and willingness to help you if you will let Him be your Lord. He is the fountain of life; it is in His light we see light.

Begin to pray now. Adore and glorify God for this passing year that showed you His mercies and love. Now, commit the coming year into His hands. Ask that He continues His love to you just as He always does year after year. Watch and be blessed: https://youtu.be/NnPmws5X-IY
