Bring Joy to Heaven

Topic: Bring Joy to Heaven

Text: Luke 15: 8- 10

“Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not light a lamb, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbours together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Amen

Sharing Jesus is not the work of the radio pastor, bus evangelist or some unemployed man out there who is trying to occupy time. It’s our commission; ALL OF US WHO ARE TRULY IN CHRIST AND ARE KNOWN AS HIS.

We should always remember that God saved us through the obedience of another believer who decided to share his or her faith with us.

Don’t let the death and resurrection of Jesus be in vain. Don’t watch another person die without their sins forgiven. For, “how, can they call on the One they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” (Rom 10:14)

Beloved, make a conscious effort to bring joy to heaven everyday therefore; starting today. Reach out and win a soul for the Lord Jesus Christ.  Tell the wandering sinner to come home and rest. Jesus loves him/her and will save them. Ask them to believe with their hearts and confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and Saviour of their lives!

Lead them to a Bible-believing Church where they can be nurtured to grow in the Lord. Pray for them daily and make sure your lifestyle and choices do not drive them away from God (as often is the case).

That ‘missing coin’ is very dear to God. Heaven is counting on you to search for the coin with the light you are, till found! Then you guide them back to Jesus for cleansing and adoption as heirs of the Father. Great will be your crown; you good and faithful servant.
