Blame No One

Topic: Blame No One

Text: 2 Timothy 4:16-17

At my first defence, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them. But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth. Amen

We all go through difficulties at some point in our lives. In those low moments, we sometimes like to blame everyone but ourselves for the misfortunes that come our way. Some continue to carry the perception that, a trusted friend or relative’s refusal to help some time past, is the reason things are as bad as they look today.

So, sometimes we hope and pray that God will establish us in life so we can repay them for refusing to be of help to us when we needed them most. What a bad request!

Paul reminds us of such difficult times in his life when he needed help but no one came to his rescue. Like Jesus and Stephen, Paul explains he holds nothing against anyone.

Remember vengeance is the Lord’s and He alone can avenge. Don’t continue to wallow in the blame game. It will not solve the problem but rather, worsen it.

Trust in the Lord, therefore, and ask Jesus to take charge of your life and help you move on. After all, all you need to succeed in life is in Him. It is His to inspire a few individuals who share in your vision to come to your aid.

Forget about the actions or inactions of Man, God will always deliver you from the lion’s mouth and give you a testimony.

It is a brand new week. Begin to pray for the strength to take responsibility of your situation and to continue in Christ no matter the storm! He will deliver you from the lion’s mouth and give you a testimony with every challenge that was meant to break you.
