Topic: Who Touched Me?
Text: Luke 8:46
46 But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.” Amen
Yesterday’s devotion highlighted on the need to go beyond the expectation of the crowd to have a personal encounter with the Lord. That is very phenomenal for all who desire total transformation in their lives.
You see, although the crowd was almost crushing in on Jesus and Jairus as they made their way to the latter’s house to heal his 12 year old daughter, there was a woman in the crowd who like Jairus was determined to encounter Jesus for her healing.
She had been subjected to bleeding for twelve years, yet no one could heal her. She came up behind Jesus and touched the edge of His cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.”
But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.” Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at His feet. In the presence of all the people, she explained why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. Jesus then said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.” (Luke 8: 43- 48).
Beloved, all the crowd knows to do best is to press on the Savior. Do not be like everyone else. As a matter of fact, be more than determined to connect to Jesus for yourself.
Grow your faith to touch the Lord and immediately POWER will come flowing directly from Him to you. POWER to heal and overcome every infirmity and challenge you might be facing. Begin to pray now. Touch the hem of His garment and be made whole in Jesus Name.
