Topic: Go Up And Take Your Possesion!
Text: Numbers 13: 30.
30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” Amen
Just before Israel would enter the promised land, “the Lord said to Moses, “Send some men to explore the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the Israelites. From each ancestral tribe send one of its leaders” (Num 13: 1-2).
Moses therefore selected 12 explorers and said to them, “Go up through the Negev and on into the hill country. See what the land is like and whether the people who live there are strong or weak, few or many. What kind of land do they live in? Is it good or bad? What kind of towns do they live in? Are they unwalled or fortified? How is the soil? Is it fertile or poor? Are there trees in it or not? Do your best to bring back some of the fruit of the land.” (It was the season for the first ripe grapes.)
So the men explored the whole region and came back to Moses and Aaron and the whole Israelite community with this report: “We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there.
There and then Caleb, one of the explorers silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”
Precious One, it is very good that we explore, inquire, investigate or access every field, territory, area or domain of interest that is new to us before we take a step to finding some position or grounding in there. Be it the area of marriage, employment, higher academic pursuance, business partnerships and entrepreneurship. The exploration allows you to strategize with the Lord to know the practical steps to take to possess the blessings in that domain.
What is not acceptable however, is to give up the pursuance of such great opportunities even when it is the Lord instructing you to go up and possess; just because some faithless or terrified colleagues discourage you not to. Their own fears and inability to trust God’s directive shouldn’t be your excuse to quit.
Be a Caleb of your own life. What the Lord instructs you to do must be your only guide through life. Silence the faithless crowd, silence your own fears and anxieties, forget about how powerful the obstales are and how limited you appear in comparison to them.
God knows all about these challenges and still promised you this victory. He says it’s yours, you have explored to know that, what they Lord says is true. Don’t relent, begin to pray now. Go Up And Take Possesion Of Your Blessing, You Can CERTAINLY Do It, In Jesus Name.
