Be Fed So You Can Feed Others!

Topic: Be Fed So You Can Feed Others!
Text: Hebrews 5: 12-14

12 In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! 13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted [skilled] with the teaching about righteousness. 14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Amen

Just as every living thing is expected to grow, so is the spirituality of the believer. In fact, spiritual maturity is COMPULSORY for all Christians. We must grow from being fed by spiritual leaders to the point where we simultaneously feed ourselves (under the able tutelage of the Holy Spirit), so that with time we can be feeding all others who desire God’s Word of Truth.

Every student should be able to teach others what he has been learning after some time. The inability to teach what you have learnt over a period is a sign of sluggish growth.

The scripture above draws attention to two important themes:

1) We must grow to be skilled in [& acquainted with] the Word of Righteousness. This means that we must get to a level where we are able to apply the Word of God to every situation we meet. We must be able to give answers to people’s issues by showing them the answers in the Word of God.

2) Maturity comes with constant practice of what we learn from the Word of God. A Christian who stops reading the Word or praying CANNOT grow.

Beloved, it’s time to affect other lives with the knowledge and wisdom we have obtained in Christ over the period. Pray for deep insight into God’s Word, and the opportunity to share with others.

Remember: the Word of God is powerful, sharper than a two edged sword. The president needs it, just as much as his citizens. The Pastor needs it and so does his congregation. IT IS THE ONLY BREAD THAT PERFECTLY SATISFIES THE SOUL. GROW IN THE WORD! Kindly click, watch and be blessed: https://youtu.be/qlFNiddMbi8
