Today’s Devotion
Topic: You Have What You Need!
Text: 2 Peter 1:3 ( NKJV)
“As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.” Amen
It’s easy to get stuck in life thinking you’ve reached your limits. But, God wouldn’t have given you an assignment and mission without giving you the ability to accomplish it.
The text above reveals 3 fundamental truths we can not overlook:
i. God’s divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness. Halleluyah!
ii. But this special provision can only be harnessed through the knowledge of Him who has called us.
iii. And yes! He has called us all by glory and virtue (goodness). It is a privilege we didn’t even deserve lest any of us should boast.
Brethren, it is absolutely true that God has graciously given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. But what stirs these treasures up in us, is the relationship we have with the Holy Spirit.
We may have gifts, potentials, blessings and talents that we’ve not yet tapped, developed and used for the kingdom of God because our knowledge and relationship with the Holy Spirit is shallow.
Believers must always acknowledge that the gifts and special “God-given-abilities” in us will simultaneously grow and bear fruits as our knowledge of the Word and things of God increases.
We must therefore remain connected to God through prayer, bible study and a constant fellowship with the Holy Ghost. Time is not on our side. Our Lord Jesus comes soon. Don’t leave this earth while the treasures of God, deposited in you remain untapped . ”You have a charge to keep, a God to glorify, a never dying soul to save and fit it for the sky.
Begin to pray now! Thank God for giving you everything pertaining to life and godliness. Ask for grace to unearth these treasures and put them to godly use. Click:https://youtu.be/7PqEOTDLl9w
