Today’s Devotion
Topic: You Can Trust Him
Text: Psalm 32: 8
“The Lord says, ‘I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.” Amen!
Each of us can very well narrate the events of yesterday as well as what has taken place since we awoke from sleep this morning. But none of us can as much as tell what will happen tomorrow, or even in a few minutes from now.
The fear of unknown tomorrow often steals the peace and joy of many at any given time.
As we battle with the fears of tomorrow, there is ONE who knows even our end from our very beginning. He knows what each moment of tomorrow holds for us.
As to whether you should apply for that job, buy forms for that school, pursue that career, say yes to that gentleman or lady, or even embark on that journey, only the Sovereign God knows.
This year, He invites each of us to draw close to Him and trust His counsel. He is ever ready to take hold of our hand, instruct us and bring us to an expected end.
A hymnist once wrote, “Wherever He may lead me, no want my heart shall fear… He knows the way He taketh and I will walk with Him.”
Begin to pray and lay every intention and purpose before Him for counsel and direction. The Lord will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; He will counsel you and watch over you, both now and forever in Jesus mighty name.
