You Are Special!

Today’s Devotion
Topic: You Are Special!
Text: Acts 6: 15

15 All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel. Amen

Now God had blessed Stephen. He was “a man full of God’s grace and power. He performed great wonders and signs among the people.” Opposition arose, however, from members of the Synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called) —Jews of Cyrene and Alexandria as well as the provinces of Cilicia and Asia —who began to argue with Stephen. But they could not stand up against the wisdom the Spirit gave him as he spoke.

So they secretly persuaded some men to say, “We have heard Stephen speak blasphemous words against Moses and against God.” They stirred up the people and the elders and the teachers of the law. They seized Stephen and brought him before the Sanhedrin.

They produced false witnesses, who testified, “This fellow never stops speaking against this holy place and against the law. All who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel” (Acts 6: 8-13, 15).

You see how special we are in Christ Jesus. “For those He foreknew, He also predestined to conform to the likeness of His son, that He might be the firstborn among His brothers. And those He predestined, He also called; Those He called, He also justified. And those He justified, He also glorified (Rom 8: 29- 30)

That is why “we are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. (2 Cor 44: 8-9). You see, after all they did against Stephen, He still carried so much presence and glory to their shame.

Don’t worry about their schemes anymore. It will not break you nor decrease the supernatural grace upon your life. Rise up therefore; pick up your praise garment; even if everything is far from perfect in your life. We must be at church to give God His due.

Don’t be intimated about their attacks against you. They are more intimidated by you than you know. They keep wondering the kind of person you are, because after all they did against you, your face still shines like an angel. BE GRATEFUL FOR YOUR LIFE AND TRUST GOD FOR MORE GLORY!
