Topic: What’s Your Testimony?
Text: Luke: 24: 19
“What things?” he asked. “About Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. AMEN
After Jesus resurrected, He joined two gentlemen in a conversation. These men were travelling from Jerusalem to Emmaus and discussing Jesus on the way. Without realizing it was Jesus that had joined them, one of them, Cleopas, described Jesus as the prophet who was powerful in Word and in Deed before God and everyone. WHAT A TESTIMONY!
The import of Cleopas’ seemingly simple testimony about Christ is rather actually very deep. It seeks to describe Jesus as One who was very careful to SAY and DO the right, not only before God but His fellow man too. He did not just speak but practiced what He said. He was not caught up in the huge error of saying one thing and living the other. He also did not pretend to love God and hate His fellow man.
Beloved, what testimony do people give about you? What testimony does the FATHER give about you? Shall we ponder about all the above and begin to pray. Let’s ask that the mind of Christ dwells richly in us so we may walk, talk, think and move like Him!
