Topic: What Are You Saying?
Text: Numbers 14: 28
So tell them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the LORD, I will do to you the very things I heard you say.’ Amen
Many of us have heard statements like; ‘life and death lie in the power of the tongue’, ‘you are defined by your words’, ‘what you say is what you get’ and so on. But just how true do we think these statements are?
Upon leaving Egypt, the Israelites journeyed to the Desert of Paran from where the LORD instructed Moses to send men to survey Canaan, the promised land. When they returned, they gave Moses this account: “We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there.”
But Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” (read Numbers 13).
Now all those who said “we can’t possess the land because the people are too powerful for us”, never made it to the promise land. Only Joshua & Caleb, the very two who decided to look at things from God’s perspective. They confessed positivity and enjoyed the fruits of their words.
Beloved, your current situation may be a hopeless one, but please be mindful of what you say. As we begin this new month today, decide to look at the positives in your situation, confess the best for your life always because the Almighty shall do for you just as He hears you say.
Begin to pray now. Ask for grace to confess God’s word through your storm. If it’s true that what you profess is exactly what you will receive, then why should anyone bring negativity upon themselves? Speak life, speak blessings, speak victory, speak hope, speak like your father in heaven is more than able, SPEAK LIKE A CHILD OF GOD.
