Topic: We Can’t Do It All Alone!
Text: Matthew 11: 1
After Jesus had finished instructing His twelve disciples, He went on from there to teach and preach in the towns of Galilee. Amen
In life, there comes a point in time when we seem to be busily doing everything, yet the results tend to be the same or even less. At that point, we need to come to the realisation that we cannot do it alone.
The Master saw the need for partnership in ministry, and the essence of delegation. So He trained the twelve (12) Disciples and sent them to go and help to fulfill the Great Commission.
The Christian leader today is always stressed up by being involved in almost every committee and activity at church and at work.
It is important that we train others and bring out the best in them with the help of the Holy Spirit, so that God can equally use them. That way, we can free ourselves from some pressures and become more efficient and effective for the Lord.
In introducing the “Transfer Concept”, Apostle Paul stated: “and the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses, entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.” (2 Tim 2:2)
Child of God, the harvest is white but the labourers are few. Consciously identify some people in your church, at work or in the neighbourhood; pray for them, mentor them and teach them to do the Father’s will.
Beloved, begin to pray now. Pray for the grace to identify the potential in others, and for strength to contain their weaknesses too, otherwise you will get disappointed in them and give up on them easily.
We must help each other grow and become responsible in our individual endeavours — training like-minded novices till they are capable of taking up some responsibility towards achieving the collective goal.
Remember that the fields are white but the labourers are few, We need everyone aboard. Leaders must delegate; followers must step up and speed up the learning process. All creation awaits the manifestation of the children of God. Don’t be idle!
