Topic: We Are Not Alone!
Text: Matthew 28: 20b
“…And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen
We all come to that point when we feel “cornered” by issues of life and feel we have been left alone. We become lost in our thoughts and struggles which may seem unending. Countless number of questions run through our minds and we wonder if we can ever sail through.
Elijah the prophet ‘tasted’ such a situation when he felt his life was in danger for being the only prophet remaining (1 Kings 19:10,14). But will God ever reject or abandon His own people? Certainly not!
Responding to Elijah’s fears, God said, “No I have 7,000 others who have never bowed down to Baal.” (1 Kings 19:18, Rom. 11:4). Elijah wasn’t alone; there were many other people standing for God.
Our situations may not be peculiar to us after all; others probably face similar or worse challenges day in and day out. But in all these struggles, the most assuring thing is to know that GOD IS WITH US!
He is an ever-present help in times of trouble; our safest refuge and tower; the Lord, invincible in battle (Ps. 24:8). In our darkest times, He remains the only true light that shines brighter than life itself. With such a God on our side, can we ever be alone?
Dearly beloved, it’s time to arise unto prayer. God is forever ready to help us if we will run into His embrace. He says “Behold I am the God of all flesh, is there anything too hard for me?” (Jer 32: 27).
Talk to Him this morning concerning everything; marriage, career, ministry, education, finances, health; whatever the issue may be. HE IS ABLE, BOTH TO MEET OUR NEEDS AND ALSO KEEP US TO THE VERY END; WE ARE NEVER REALLY ALONE!
