Walking In Constant Victory! Text: 1 Tim 6: 11-12a

But you, man of God,flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Amen

Yesterday we discussed the need for a believer to exercise his/ her authority in Christ Jesus. We also established that as long us we remain indifferent about our heritage in Christ or ignorant of the devil’s devices, satan will have a “field- day” with our lives. Well, today we want to look at some practical steps a believer can take to walk in constant victory.

To ensure a victorious life in Christ Jesus, we should note the following:

i. We must forever dwell under the shadow of the Almighty (Ps 91). This we do by constantly renewing our love relationship with the Lord. Mostly by obeying His Word (Jh 14: 15) and by offering our lives as a living sacrifice (Rom 12: 1)

ii. We must pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. (1 Tim 6: 11)

iii. We put on the whole armour of God to be able to stand the fiery darts of the evil one. (Ephe 6:10-18)

iv. We walk in faith and not fear. (2 Tim 1: 7)

v. We must pray without ceasing. When in prayer, we must apply the Word and the Blood. For “they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony (Rev. 12: 11a)

vi. We must keep fellowship with one another (Heb 10:25).That way, intercesory prayers and encouraging words from other believers ensures our safety, especially, in times that we feel weak.

Always remember the weapons of our warfare are not canal, but mighty through God, to the casting down of every evil imaginations and stronghold.

Begin to pray now. Ask the Holy Ghost to help you practice all the above. No more defeats, we are more than conquerors!
