Topic: Walk Through
Text: Psalm 23: 4
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.” Amen
Sometimes in life, you’ve got to live through the pain. In other words, you have to keep pressing forward even when all odds are against you.
You see, we all get to that place where every voice tells us we’re done and that there’s nothing good lying ahead. But wait; do not believe those lies. There is a great God in heaven; He is good and does what is good. If He lives in you, there’s definitely the hope of glory.
We can all agree that it’s easy to do the right thing and make good decisions when everything is going your way. That’s great and it honours God.
But when times are tough and nothing is going your way; when you’re hurting from yesterday’s pain and disappointments, can you still trust that God is able and that His word is true?
Can you still go about your God, life and work with all diligence when you should be on the sidelines nursing your wounds? Can you still trust the rod and staff of the Lord to comfort you even though the passing of a dear one is still very difficult to comprehend? Will you show kindness to another even when you’re still expecting God to turn things around for your good?
Beloved, our Father in heaven has unspeakable blessings awaiting those who remain faithful even in difficult times. If that’s you today, know that God has His hand on you. He’s walking with you through the valley. He’s preparing streams in the dessert. He’s leading and guiding you in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
Keep praising. Keep believing. Keep moving forward; knowing that God is with you, and His comfort will guide you to the place of blessing.
Begin to worship God through your storm. Praise Him for the brighter days that are to come. He is faithful and His word is true. The dependable One who never puts to shame. He promises to always be with us even to the very end. That’s why no valley will ever be too deep than we can cross. With Him in the boat, we will smile through each storm. Walk through!
