Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the twelve. And Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus. They were delighted and agreed to give him money. He consented, and watched for an opportunity to hand Jesus over to them when no crowd was present. Amen
Our Lord Jesus asked us to watch and pray so we do not fall into temptation. Being vigilant in prayer is very vital to surviving the evil plots around us. Esp the schemes of those people we least expect.
Judas, a close friend of Jesus, allowed satan to influence him into an evil conspiracy to have Jesus arrested. The only condition to their evil plot was that it should be done secretly, where no one will know.
With the promise of a reward in sight, Judas will from this day look for the opportunity to hand Jesus over in secrecy.
In a world where men crave for money, prestige and power rather than for God and His righteousness; there is no telling the extent people will go to achieve their ambition.
There may be traps around about you at work, school or home and you will not even notice unless in constant fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Make a decision to be prayerful from today. Ask that the eyes of your understanding be opened so you can identify the traps around you and walk in wisdom.
