Today’s Devotion
Topic: Stop, Look, Listen and Jump.
Text: 1Corinthians 10:1,11
“I don’t want you to forget, dear brothers and sisters, about our ancestors in the wilderness long ago… These things happened to them as examples for us. They were written down to warn us who live at the end of the age.” Amen
The Bible is rich in treasures of Wisdom which can guide us daily in ALL we do. The Word of God is supposed to be a light unto our feet and a lamp unto our path.
Some years ago, a Christian lady was listing the endless number of movies and soap operas she had watched on TV. She bragged about how much she had “learnt” from the characters and stories. But when she was asked whether she had ever read the Bible cover-to-cover, she said no. She found no reason why she should even invest time and effort into building a habit of daily quiet time and devotion.
Beloved, the number of relevant truths we can learn from the Word of God is endless. There is always something in His Word which relates to your peculiar situation.
The next time you think of seeking guidance anywhere, remember to STOP, LOOK into God’s Word, LISTEN for His direction, and JUMP into His will for your life at that moment.
