The Lord That Bears Our Burdens! Text: Psalm 68: 5, 9, 19

5 A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. 9 You gave abundant showers,O God; you refreshed your weary inheritance. 19 Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Amen

We wake up most mornings already burdened with the days’ expectations and pressures. We worry about what to eat, how to get to work and even how to manage the few resources we have prudently.

Overwhelmed by anxiety and soaked in sweat, we go before God in prayer and that’s it! Our burden becomes His. It becomes His delight to takecare of our every need.

The Lord does all these for us without complain. He doesn’t ask for a reward. He remains a faithful father to all who are fatherless and the mighty defender of the widow. He gives abundant showers to refresh all who are worn and weary. He bears our burdens EVERYDAY!

He is the reason we’re still STANDING after all we’ve been through! “Surely He took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered Him punished by God, stricken by Him, and afflicted. 5 But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by His STRIPES we are healed”. (Is 53: 4-5) WHAT A GOD.

Do you remember how he wiped away those tears in the midnight hour and gave you peace for sleep? How He took you through each exams that terrified you? How He delivered you from shame, and healed your wounds?

Well, He’s been good. Begin to pray: thank God for bearing your yoke throughout life. Now, cast all your burdens to Him, He cares for you.
