Teach Me Your way!

Topic: Teach Me Your way!
Text: Psalm 86: 11

11 Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. Amen

When you decide on a journey, you must know the way. Several roads may appear to lead towards your destination, but one will be best.

Due to the uncertainties and limitations of man, he has never been able to know the way of life on his own. In our ignorance, we take ways that seem right in our own eyes, yet the end thereof presents nothing but death. (Proverbs 14: 12).

The Psalmist knows so well that our need of the Almighty God is not an option then. Only He (God) knows the way of life. He is THE WAY. All who seek the land above must run to Him or wander in circles till this life is over. He says, “teach me your way that I may rely on your faithfulness.” Halleluyah!

What about you precious one? What have you resolved for your journey this new year? God’s way or your way? You do remember that His way is the right way, right? And that His way is true and sincere? You also know that His way leads to eternal glory, right? And His way is His word? This Psalmist, would rather God’s way than his own.

Isaiah 55: 8- 9 tells a huge difference about our way and God’s ways. He says, “for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my way,” declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Those who seek His way, later discover He knows far better and He never gets lost. Making it easy for them to rely on Him both as faithful and able.

What about you dear brethren? Which way will you take this year? Whose way will it be, yours or God’s? Meditate on this word and begin to pray now. Ask the Holy spirit to teach you His ways so you may follow to the end. Also plead for an undivided heart so you may honor and fear the name of the Lord forever.

Be found in God’s will this new year because you chose His word that showed you the way, both to salvation and life. That way you can always rely on God’s faithfulness and it will never fail you.
