Strategic Positioning!

Today’s Devotion
Topic: Strategic Positioning!
Text: Luke 19: 2- 4

2 A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. 3 He wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd. 4 So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way. Amen

We always look forward to many opportunities in life. Some of us desire to breakthrough with that new business idea; others are looking for the opportunity to get that employment offer. Several others look forward to meeting the right partners for their latest business concept.

Strategic positioning is important to receiving the blessings of God. Psalm 1: 1-2b, 3 declares that: ” blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, He is like a tree planted by the streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf doesn’t wither. Whatever he does prosper.”

The processes involved in strategic positioning include:

  1. Preparation Stage: Opportunities that come to the prepared mind are better utilized for the best results. Anyone looking forward to an opportunity or a great encounter must spend time preparing for that moment. Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd. SO HE RUN AHEAD and climbed a tree, knowing Jesus would be going that way. This preparation stage involves learning, training, sacrificing a great deal of comfort as we wait on God for open doors.
  2. Identifying the opportunity: God sometimes brings our way several opportunities in disguise. We need to seek His direction daily to show us which of the many things surrounding us is the opportunity for our breakthrough. Many have missed great opportunities without realising just because to them these opportunities didn’t look like what they expected to see. Many heard about Jesus, spoke about Him, walked with Him but never saw any opportunity in Him to be healed or saved. May God open our eyes to see the various doors He prepare and make available to us.
  3. Being found at the same TIME and exact LOCATION the opportunity avails itself. Zacchaeus positioned himself where he knew Jesus would pass. Remember “… the race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but TIME and CHANCE happen to them all (Ecclesiastics 9: 11)

As we pray to God for miracles and breakthrough in life, let us strategically position ourselves. The best place to be, is to be found in the Lord and to be known as His! No opportunity will ever slip you by if you forever abide in Him. Begin to pray now. https://youtu.be/mUA13P7nskk
