Topic: Special To God
Text: Matthew 18: 10-14
“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven. “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish. Amen
God created all of us in His image. Bible says He calls all He made GOOD. Lets be careful how we handle each other, espercially those who we feel are either little or below us in terms of finances, social status, spiritual growth or academic achievements.
Do not despise anyone! They are special to God. The Almighty sees His Chidren as so dear that He has gifted each of us, big or small, with a special angel that ministers before Him day and night. You see how you love your children and will do anything for them, greater than that love is what the Almighty has for His own. Do not despise anyone at all.
Secondly, God demonstrates in this scripture that due to that special love He has for us, He will go every extent to find each of His sheep that strays from His presence. And what joy is it when that lost sheep who strayed is found and brought home.
How deep the Father’s love for us. How has beyond all measure. Let’s ponder over it. So it inspires our love and respect for one another. If God will not despise but love, inspite of all our imperfections, then we ought to do same.
Dear friend, to demonstrate God’s love to one another, is to honour the great God who has loved us with an everlasting love through the sacrifice of His Son. Let us love and respect one another therefore, so that God, through us will bring our other brethren who have gone astray, back HOME.
Begin to pray now. Thank God for how special you are to Him. And ask for the heart and mind of Christ. So that you can see how special all those around you, are to God too. Love and respect them.
