Topic: Save me for your glory
Text: Psalm 109: 25- 27
25 I am an object of scorn to my accusers; when they see me, they shake their heads. 26 Help me, LORD my God; save me according to your unfailing love. 27 Let them know that it is your hand, that you, LORD, have done it. Amen
It is by grace we are saved, not merit. We can love because He first loved us and gave Himself as a ransom for our sins. This love He has, is deeper than the deep and stronger than death. Out of Love, He created the heavens and the earth. By love, He sent His only Son to reconcile us back to Him. Yes, it is this same love that has kept us well and brought us thus far. From our days as ignorant children through our troubled youth: It’s been His love preserving us all along.
But now, things are both rough and tough and we have nowhere to turn to. Some of us have clearly become objects of scorn to accusers because of the many unending struggles we seem go through every day. With others, people simply shake their heads when they pass. In their minds, you deserve this suffering, it’s punishment for your sins. Somehow, you are also beginning to accept this as your fate.
But wait a minute, even if sin has brought upon you the curse of life, we have a loving advocate standing at the right hand of God, interceding for us daily. Ask for forgiveness quickly and join the rest of us right now for prayers, because we are going to pray.
Our prayer is simple, for whatever you going through, lift up your voice and say: “Help me, LORD my God; save me according to your unfailing love, not according to my deeds. Save me for your glory. Let all know that it is your hand, that you, LORD, have done it”.
Begin to pray now. Pray with the song “Let your living waters flow over my soul, let your Holy Spirit come and take control of every situation that has troubled my mind. ….” (Vine song). Pray your own deliverance to bear child of God. Beseech the UNFAILING LOVE OF THE LORD TO YOUR DEFENSE. Pray for your family too, how we need the Lord to calm the surging waters and restore peace. You must not be an object of ridicule anymore.
His love is unfailing. His wisdom is immeasurable. His grace is sufficient. His blood is powerful and His power, incomparable. If He is your Jesus, then be confident of this: YOU WILL SEE THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD IN THE LAND OF THE LIVING. (Psalm 27: 13)
